A woman in her forties was found dead Friday morning in her Montreal North apartment. She was probably the victim of a murder, according to our information.
In the middle of the morning, the Montreal police had very few details concerning this event.
A call was made to 911 around 9:30 a.m. to report the presence of an unconscious woman in an apartment building on boulevard Lacordaire, at the intersection of rue d’Amos.
The victim was pronounced dead a short time later. According to our information, everything suggests that the woman was the victim of a murder.
It is not known, however, whether a weapon was used in the crime.
A security perimeter has been erected around the apartment building to protect any evidence that may be there.
If the murder thesis is confirmed, it would be the second woman to be killed in the space of just eight days in the metropolis.
On September 8, Gisèle Betondi, a 29-year-old mother, was stabbed to death in the borough of LaSalle. Her ex-husband was arrested and later charged with premeditated murder.
