A woman and her baby died after being hit by a bus

The victims presented serious injuries after the collision, so medical attention failed to prevent both of them from dying.

A woman and her daughter, a three-month-old baby, were run over by a bus in the vicinity of the Plaza de Toros, south of Valencia, Carabobo state, and died shortly after.

The victims were traveling on a motorcycle at the time the accident occurred, according to Final Version.

After the accident, both were taken to the Dr. Enrique Tejera Hospital City.

A medical team treated them, but the injuries were serious and shortly after the death of the mother and the girl was reported.

The event, according to family members, occurred on the avenue that leads to El Hipódromo, an area adjacent to the headquarters of the Criminal, Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) in the Carabobo state.

It was reported that once the collision occurred, the driver of the motorcycle, who was unharmed, chased the transport unit, which had continued its march after colliding.

“A few minutes later, the bus could not continue, apparently due to a mechanical failure. The driver, as well as two adolescents who accompanied him, got out to run away, but they were captured by officials of the Naguanagua Municipal Police, who already knew what had happened and were on alert in the area,” they pointed out.

The 43-year-old public transport driver, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, and the two minors were arrested and taken to the police command headquarters.
