A wedding proposal at Disneyland Paris ruined by a park employee

The Disneyland Paris park was once once more the scene of a marriage proposal last week. This kind of event is not exceptional, and we regularly find images on social networks of couples celebrating their love in front of the famous Cinderella castle. But this time, not everything went as the future husband had planned, evidenced by a video posted on Reddit.

The man, an American tourist, had just knelt down in front of his companion – who had answered “yes” to the request – when a park employee landed. He grabbed the box containing the ring and passed between the future spouses to invite them to move from where they were.

Very surprised, the two lovebirds followed the employee. The man tried to relax the member of staff, explaining to him that his partner had just accepted his request, but nothing changed. “It’s great, but it will be even better around here,” replied the employee, waving to the couple to stand in the paths of the park.

The video of this spoiled moment quickly caused a buzz in the United States, so much so that Disneyland Paris officials spoke regarding the facts: “We regret the way this was handled. We apologized to the couple involved and offered to fix things”.

According to a relative of the American tourists, another staff member had given his agreement for the couple to access the platform where the request was made, but according to information from the Parisian, this area is prohibited to the public because ” dangerous pyrotechnic devices” are found there. The employee seen in the video would therefore have obeyed the park’s safety rules by preventing the two visitors from staying where they were.
