Mirna Nohemí Pérez left three children orphaned; her husband, the main suspect in the femicide, will appear before a judge this Monday, March 18 at 8:00 p.m.
The gray sedan-type car with plates 458 DWV was parked on 4th avenue and 30th street in zone 10 of Mixco. When the prosecutors from the Public Ministry (MP) opened the trunk, they saw inside a horn in the center, on the left side. a wedding dress, on the right side some black shoes and in the background the body of Mirna Nohemí Pérez, who had been missing for three days.
She wore the wedding dress nine years ago, when she married Julio “N”, the main suspect in Pérez’s death. He was arrested on Saturday, March 16, at the house of his ex-partner.
The suspect tried to flee and hid in a septic tank at the back of a house on 14th Avenue and 5th Street in the Carabanchel neighborhood, zone 11, one of the three properties raided by the National Civil Police (PNC) and the MP following the death of Mirna Pérez, who died from a craniocerebral trauma, according to the report from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF).
Mirna Nohemí Pérez, 30, left three children, ages 5, 7, and 8, orphaned, who were left in the care of Pérez’s sister.
The PNC detailed that during the course of the investigation, the possible participation of the captured man in killing his wife was determined, following picking her up from a training session in a shopping center in zone 11.
The investigators detailed that the suspect possibly found letters of possible infidelity, which might have caused an argument between the couple and subsequently the subject would have beaten his wife until she died.
