According to our first information, the vehicle was traveling in the direction of Port Hercule when its driver lost control. The machine then crossed the white line before violently hitting the concrete wall near the Rainier-III Auditorium.
The vehicle immediately burst into flames with its occupants inside.
Called to the scene, around thirty firefighters from Monaco contained the fire.
The release of smoke in the underground work, known to be the Grand Prix tunnel, led the firefighters to carry out reconnaissance in the Monte-Carlo Star residence and the Fairmont hotel.
