Three people were injured on Wednesday around 12:20 a.m. in a violent road accident on the Chaussée d’Ixelles, the axis of the eponymous town.
“A Smur and three ambulances were dispatched to the scene. The three injured were evacuated, including one under escort from the Smur”, confirms Walter Derieuw, the spokesperson for the Brussels fire brigade. The current condition of the three people is not known.
A video circulating on social networks testifies to the violence of the impact. Two people on a scooter decided to cross the pedestrian crossing even though the light was green for cars. A scooter overtook the first stationary vehicle before hitting the scooter, throwing the three people several meters.
