Authorities believe they were killed elsewhere and left behind.
In the last hours, the mayor Claudia López indicated that the four murdered people were identified and that they were found in the north of Bogotá, whose bodies appeared abandoned in a truck in the north of Bogotá.
According to the president, they are: Juan Carlos Useche, Leidy Alejandra Betancourt, Leonardo Sanabria and José Perosso.
Three of the victims were of Colombian nationality, while José Perosso Zabala was Venezuelan. According to López, the preliminary investigation shows that, although they appeared on 223rd Street, the crime might have been committed outside the city.
The authorities indicated that, although the bodies were found on the outskirts of Bogotá, everything seems to indicate that the murders were committed outside the capital and the bodies were brought to leave them abandoned in the northern exit of the city.
According to the investigation, the truck in which the bodies were left Bogotá on Thursday, August 18 at 10:00 am, according to the Andes toll report, on the North Highway. Around 3:45 pm of the same day, he would have been abandoned where they found him, thanks to a call from a citizen.
In less than 48 hours, the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office established that it is a settling of scores between criminal structures of drug trafficking and allegedly money laundering. Two of the victims have criminal records, one with a custodial sentence. pic.twitter.com/ogFTLiVk4O
