A vehicle hits a crane, another destroys a fire hydrant in the province of Luxembourg

Some mornings are busier than others for firefighters in the province of Luxembourg. That of this Friday, March 17 is one, with some rather special accidents.

It started in the night, around 3 a.m., with a vehicle on fire at rue Haute Commène in Barvaux-sur-Ourthe. The firefighters of Érezée and Hamoir, with an officer, intervened, but the vehicle was destroyed by the flames.

Shortly following 7:20 a.m., firefighters from Saint-Hubert and Libramont went to the N899 near Transinne for an accident involving a single vehicle. A lightly injured person was taken to the ambulance by the fire department.

About forty minutes later, it was on the N884 in Herbeumont that a collision also occurred, with a vehicle which struck a crane. The accident resulted in a minor injury. This time, it was the Bertrix and Florenville firefighters who intervened.

Another particular collision occurred shortly around 8:50 a.m., on the Virton side this time and more precisely rue Nouvelle in Ethe. A vehicle hit and broke a fire hydrant. The Virton firefighters intervened to put an end to the water geyser.

Finally, shortly before 9 a.m., the Arlon firefighters, with an officer as well as agents from ORES, went to Habay at the G & V station because a gas leak was declared during the filling of a tank.
