Robert Beinaris, the artistic director of the festival “Curnish Spit” and its main performer, the ensemble “Musica humana”, urges everyone who spends summer on the coast of Lithuania not to miss the opportunity to listen to wonderful chamber music. “For the 26th time, the international chamber music festival “Curonian Spit” invites you, dear audience, to the city of Neringa.
This year, the festival is accompanied by the 50th anniversary of the “Musica humana” ensemble. At the beginning of the festival, we will celebrate the 80th anniversary of its founder Professor Algirdas Vizgirdas – two impressive dates indeed. The festival will last until August 31, and it will feature a lot of wonderful, expressive, upbeat music,” says R. Beinaris.
At the opening of the festival, for which the motto “Beginnings” was chosen, the opuses of Johann Sebastian Bach and Lithuanian authors will be played in the community house of Nida, and video material reminding the creative path of the National Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble “Musica humana” will be shown.
The 50th anniversary book of “Musica humana” and the CD released on the occasion of the anniversary will also be presented to the audience. In the concert, Ieva Kuprevičiūtė (flute), Lukas Abromaitis (cello), Gediminas Kviklys (harpsichord) and ensemble leader and conductor Robertas Beinaris (oboe) will play solo with the ensemble.
The grand opening will be followed by the program “Musical Expressions of Antonio Vivaldi”. It will be performed by the festival orchestra “Musica humana” on August 6, 7, 8 in Juodkrantė, Nida and Pervalka, as well as soloists Ramunė Grakauskaitė, Inga Kuizinaitė, Agata Ursul (violins), Robertas Beinaris, Kristupas Kačionas (oboe) and Tomas Rubinas (bassoon). .
August 10 “Musica humana” and soloists Eglė Vakarinaitė (voice) and Simas Minkevičius (piano) will invite you to listen to the program “Music from Disney Films” for the whole family in Juodkrantė. “We will perform a lot of familiar music from Disney films for you, the young listener,” says festival director R. Beinaris. The program includes music from Walt Disney’s films “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Aladdin”, “Frozen”, “The Princess and the Frog”, “101 Dalmatians”, “Pocahonta”, “The Lion King”.
“Later, the festival will invite you to the outdoor stage of the Juodkrantė Ludvikos Rėza Cultural Center, where Mozart and improvisations will be played. The festival celebrates Žolinja every year – during it the listeners will be treated to a lot of wonderful music. And at the closing of the festival on August 31, we will pay tribute to Lithuania – its creators and the region of Neringa, because Broniaus Kutavičiaus’ piece “Užpustytas kaimas” based on Ludvikas Rėza’s lines will be played”, R. Five programs of the festival with various soloists will be performed by the main performer – the chamber ensemble “Musica humana”, while the last two programs are prepared by other chamber ensembles visiting the festival.
August 17 In Juodkrante and on the 18th In Nida, the Čiurlionis Quartet with Dovile Kazonaite (soprano) and Robert Beinaris (oboe) will perform a program of works by Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Bernhard Henrik Crusell, Ástor Piazzolla, Giedrius Kuprevičius, Laimis Vilkončius and Giovanni Sollima.
August 31 The concert “Obojo Quintet LT” and friends will end the festival at the community house of Nida”, here the soloists Simona Liamo (soprano), Inga Gylytė (violin), Džiugas Daugirda (percussion) and Gediminas Kviklys (organ) will perform with the “Obojo Quintet LT”, Vaidos Works by Striaupaitė-Beinarienė, Loreta Narvilaitė, Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, Broniaus Kutavičius, Algirdas Martinaitis, Vladas Švedas, Mantas Savickis.
