To the great means the great remedies! If your PC is too hot during this heat wave, this Reddit user might have a solution for you.

A gaming PC in freezing temperatures

If you want to use a gaming PC properly, it is almost essential to have its hardware properly cooled. And for those who are wondering, no, it’s not only important in summer, when the temperatures are high outside and in the apartment. And quite recently, a player has just shown how to optimize the cooling of his PC with a technique, to say the least, amazing… Indeed, as you may have read in the title, the latter used his air conditioning to cool his configuration!

It was via Reddit that the user explained his modus operandi. To begin with, he wanted to set up his office in an empty room in his house. However, the problem was that it was freezing cold in the latter because of the air conditioning vent that was just above. But the arrangement of this famous mouth, gave him an idea: use that cold air more wisely. In a second post, he explained that he had in the meantime cooled its equipment to 4 degrees Celsiuswithout the water condensing, due to the fact that the air is dehumidified by the air conditioning system.

Do not neglect the cooling of your PC

Cooling offers many benefits: when the graphics card, processor and other components start working, large amounts of heat are released. If your PC gets very hot, it limits its performance (“thermal throttling”) or, in the worst case, shuts down. This is ensured by the fuses that the manufacturers integrate into their components.

Either way, it should irritate most gamers when the CPU or graphics card is running at 90 degrees or more. AMD’s new Ryzen processors as well as Nvidia’s new RTX 4000 graphics cards are designed for high temperatures, but still remain sensitive when temperatures exceed 90 degrees. Besides that, it is also possible to overclock better with a well-cooled PC, hence the importance of having excellent cooling.
