A Unique Talent | News.at

You’ve seen and heard a lot from Gabriel Federspieler – and most of the time you went home amazed. In the musical “Fanny und Alexander” in the Schauspielhaus, the 12-year-old from Linz was an enthusiastic singer and actor, as was the case with “Wie im Himmel”.

His mother, the violinist (Bruckner Orchestra) and composer Claudia Federspieler, wrote the book “King Canon and the Double Bass” for her multi-talented son (Verlag Herramhof). Now the story regarding a peaceful king, who likes to play the double bass and welcomes three guests from China to his castle, can be seen on stage in the muddle in Linz.

Gabriel Federspieler is supported musically by the pianist Elias Gillesberger, the young man does the rest quite simply himself. He tells stories, sings, plays the king, his guests and ultimately also skilfully on the double bass – with which he performs a great 3-Chinese canon. Everything is just right there, also linguistically, there is nothing artificial, there is a young man on the stage who is apparently already a finished actor.

  • Conclusion: A limitless talent.
