We have many Raudondvarias in Lithuania, as well as Raudondvarios estates. However, located in the Vilnius district near Nemenčinė, it is extremely little known.
“Initiated to declare State Protected”
“XIX century the formed structure of the manor homestead plan, the volumetric spatial composition, which consists of the palace with greenery and ponds in the representative area in the NE part of the homestead, the outbuildings and kumetin located in the economic-residential zone in the central part of the territory, the beer brewery located in the production zone in the PR part of the territory, beer construction workshops, beer aging cellars, an engineer’s house, a canal, a bridge, the remains of constructions and the central part of the local area, communication routes”, this is what is written in the Register of Cultural Values of the Department of Cultural Heritage (KPD) regarding the planning solutions of the Raudondvaris manor estate among the valuable properties.
This homestead, located in Vilnius district municipality, Nemenčinės sen., Raudondvaris village, Aleksandros Parčevskios st. 18, was included in the Register of Cultural Values on May 4, 1992, but its status until now is “initiated to be declared State Protected”.
According to the KPD, it would be possible to declare this object as a State protected property if a special plan for the homestead was prepared. It costs a lot, and at least this year KPD says it won’t have the money for it. Such a plan might be prepared by the homestead owners themselves, but they are probably also limited by finances.
Since the Raudondvaris manor homestead is not protected by the State, its owners cannot apply for state or EU support in managing the territory and the buildings in it. An object whose status is initiated to be declared State Protected can receive funding only for research and elimination of the threat of an accident.
One person bought it
Currently, this entire manor house is in one hand – regarding half a year ago, the main house was purchased from a private person by the same owners who bought a unique complex of buildings in the neoclassical architectural style from Luminor Bank four years ago at a pre-auction.
As the bank announced at the time, a brewery operated in the palace located in Raudondvaris town of Nemenčinė district, and later the historical building was abandoned. Behind the 11 thousand on A.Parčevskis street. sq. m buildings were paid 88 thousand. euros.
The new owners are quite mysterious. With 15min Alfred, who spoke, asked not to publish his last name (it is known to the editors), but he was happy to share his plans for how he and his colleagues want to install everything here.
A brewery operated in the palace located in Raudondvaris town of Nemenčinė precinct, later the historical building was abandoned.
The plans are big
And those plans are impressive – the currently still abandoned manor house is to be turned into a popular attraction. “Maybe there will be another Belmont,” Alfred smiled.
But regarding everything from the beginning.
