Jeff Petry was playing his first game this year once morest the Montreal Canadiens, a club with which he spent the last eight years of his life, and he was greeted as it should be: with a wave of boos.

The quarterback was booed copiously every time his paddle touched the disc, which is hardly surprising. He experienced the treatment that the partisans reserve for the elders, especially those who leave in a somewhat particular way.
But he also received a standing ovation from the crowd as he presented a video on the big screen, proving that fans can be objective when the time is right.

Then despite a fishtail end, the number 26 is fully aware that his career has taken a masterful turn during his career in Montreal, he who has greatly evolved. It was with the bleu-blanc-rouge that he reached his full potential, becoming an important cog in the club for 508 games.
