A Trifluvian could hold a Guinness Record on the Nintendo 64 console

A Trifluvian who has completed the 296 games offered on the Nintendo 64 console claims the Guinness Record, while the prize has already been awarded to others for the same feat, in 2018.

Samuel Girard believes that he has adequately completed the many games offered on the console, and thus disputes the legitimacy of the current owner.

The current world record has been held by a player from the Netherlands since 2018.

However, according to Samuel Girard, he would not have completed all the games in the right way, video evidence in support, while he did.

It will have taken him 5 and a half years and almost 3500 hours of play when his initial objective was simply to introduce them. His collection is complete.

He therefore approached the organization to have his achievement recognized. His request was dismissed. At least, for now.

“I asked them if I could discuss the record with them. Basically, he is in the records on which we cannot apply.

Yet, several people in the online community recognized him as the only player to have completed everything. It is for them that he gives himself so much during his games broadcast live.

Some of the 296 games are less enjoyable. The challenge was above all to stay motivated from start to finish. On average, around fifty people watch him play on the online streaming platform Twitch.

“I was awake for 29 hours on the same game, on Twitch. It was by far the longest game compared to all other games on the console. I said I did it once, a nonsense, a weekend. I did it. The only thing that came out of that was I got tendinitis,” he said.

His games are recorded online, his games are well listed, several people have witnessed his exploit. He will continue to try to prove his point to Guinness Record to win the world title.

As the first challenge is completed, he now turns to his old consoles, his oldest being from 1972. He wants to complete all existing games on each console that includes his favorite video game character: Sonic, which is over 400 games at the first calculation.
