The feature of hiding photos on the iPhone

In iOS 16, Apple added a new feature that helps keep your hidden files locked, and can only be opened using Face ID.

Steps to hide photos on iPhone:
1- Go to the Photos app, and select the photo you want to hide.

2- Click on the circle with three dots located in the upper right corner of the screen.

3- Select the Hide option.

4- A message will appear to confirm that you want to hide this photo, click on the Hide Photo option, and the photo will disappear from the main screen in the Photos application, and it will be stored in the Hidden album.

How to access hidden photos on iPhone?

After the photo is moved to the Hidden album, you can access it by following these steps:

Open the Photos app, and tap Albums at the bottom of the screen.

On the Albums page, scroll down to the Utilities section, then choose Hidden.

In this album you will find all the hidden pictures.

How to protect hidden photos with Face ID:

Go to (Settings) Settings, and select the (Photos) application.

Move the slider to the right at the Use Face ID option.

After activating the use of the Face ID feature, no one will be able to enter the hidden album without the Face ID facial recognition feature. After activating this feature, you will notice that the Recently Deleted photos album below the hidden album will also be locked.

And to add more protection to your hidden photos; You can prevent Hidden Album from appearing in the list of albums, by following these steps:

Go to (Settings) Settings, and select the (Photos) application.

Find the Show Hidden Album option, and move the slider to the left.

The iCloud Shared Photo Library feature that allows users of the Photos app on iPhone to create a shared photo album, so that up to 6 family members can share photos together in one album, with the same powers to edit, delete and add photos.

– Duplicate detection feature, so that it is easier for the user to get rid of excess images and clean the image library, which removes more trouble in exploring duplicate images, and also ensures that there is sufficient storage space for more images, which is a feature that previously required relying on an application private.

– The feature of securing hidden and deleted albums, which is the feature that automatically secures deleted or hidden photos with a face print in phones that provide the feature, such as the iPhone 13 and others, or with a fingerprint in phones such as the iPhone SE 3.

– The ability to copy the modifications that you made to an image and use them in another image or a group of images, as well as the ability to Undo and Redo a series of modifications to images, with the ability to disable memories and distinguished images from appearing in the Photos application and in the application’s widget.

The visual search feature allows users to isolate images from the background, so that the feature can automatically detect images of animals, plants, and statues, with the ability to copy the image without the background and use it through the system, whether in the messaging application, for example, or an image editing application, and others.
