A touching video of young Jordanians showing solidarity with their friend who has cancer

“A friend in time of distress” is a saying related to the sincerity of the relationship between friends, and the need for a person to stand with his friend in hard times before good times, and this is what 3 young men did with their friend who had cancer in the governorate of Irbid, northern Jordan.

An influential video clip spread widely in Jordan, where 3 young men shave their hair completely in solidarity with their colleague who was diagnosed with cancer.

Solidarity without coordination

The Jordanian young man, Zaid Al-Silawi, was recently diagnosed with “lymphoma” and began taking chemotherapy doses as the first step in long-term treatment. His hair began to fall out, so he decided to shave it completely to be even and consistent.

Hairdresser Louay Al-Zoubi told Al-Arabiya Al-Jordan that his friend Yazid, in his twenties, works in a “barbershop” in Irbid governorate, and when he started cutting his hair, he and two of his colleagues in the salon brought a shaving machine and began cutting their hair in solidarity with Yazid and so that he would not feel sad.

Al-Zoubi pointed out that his friend was diagnosed with the disease two months ago, and they prevented them from supporting him without any coordination with each other or even with Yazid by cutting their hair amidst impressive feelings that all attendees felt.

Al-Zoubi hopes that Yazid will continue to treat him with full force, so that he will be a strong fighter once morest cancer, which requires high morale and psyche.
