The publication is accompanied by a photo of a transaction, carried out on March 29, where a customer would have given a tip of 10 cents to a delivery person, on an invoice of $ 29.90.

“Sad to see that we are in a society like that … Leave this kind of tip especially in delivery”, can we read by the author of the viral publication having collected more than 1600 comments.

Several citizens were indignant that low tips are still given to delivery men and women.

“It’s disgusting the attitude of consumers towards tipping, especially in delivery,” said a lady.

“It’s more common than you think and it’s a shame […].»

Others are of the opinion that the amount of tip given to the employee should remain at the customer’s discretion.

“It goes with the service… bad service = bad tip. It has become that tipping is almost mandatory, there are some who have forgotten what a tip is, and who take it too much for granted,” said another citizen.

The publication does not indicate the identity of the delivery person or the restaurant concerned by the situation.
