a TikTok star garbage collector explains that he cannot renew the days of strike

Ludovic Franceschet, garbage collector who publishes videos on his job on TikTok, confided on BFMTV that he might not financially afford to go on strike over time.

“We have to fight.” As since the beginning of the mobilization once morest the pension reform, Ludovic Franceschet “supports this movement”. But the garbage collector, who has nearly 300,000 subscribers on TikTok, told BFMTV this Wednesday evening that his financial situation did not allow him to respond to the call of the inter-union for a renewable strike since March 7.

“I’m going on a seesaw strike. I can’t go on strike all the time, because I’m losing 75 to 80 euros a day,” he said on our antenna.

In two days of strike this month, he has lost around 150 euros and wonders how he will be able to feed himself and pay his bills if he continues the strike for the next few days.

Against a blockage of the country

Ludovic Franceschet also added that he was not in favor of blocking the country. “We can act otherwise,” he pleaded.

The garbage collector then took his own example: living in Étampes (Essonne) and working in Paris, he must take an RER to get to work. However, the strike at the SNCF removes all trains from its line.

Faced with social tensions and its increasingly precarious financial situation, Ludovic Franceschet called on the government to “hold a referendum” so that the French approve, or not, this pension reform.
