In Belgium, the sale of video games and consoles represents 582 million euros in 2022. A slight drop of 3% compared to 2021, a record year thanks to covid. Most Belgians play on consoles (59%), although 35% do so on PC and 86% on smartphones and tablets, with fans regularly playing on several platforms. 43% of Belgians play between 3 and 6 hours per week and 29% beyond 7 hours.

As for the best-selling console and PC games in Belgium FIFA, the Electronic Arts football license (which is about to operate a deep soul, EA’s game is no longer called FIFA ), ranks 1st and 5th in the Top 10 for the 2023 and 2022 editions. Activision’s war game Call Of Duty comes in second place with the new version of Modern Warfare II. Grand Theft Auto V (GTA5), an eternal hit sold at 185 million copies, completes the podium despite its release almost 10 years ago. And in 4th position is Elden Ring, the latest from From Software studios, known for their difficult games. On mobile, we can find Candy Crush, Roblox and Pokemon GO on the podium.
