The directorial game of smoke and spotlights at the Mugler collection show on Sunday during Paris Fashion Week almost obscured the same clothes that American Casey Cadwallader designed for the house two years following the death of Thierry Mugler.

The show, which was held at the Lycée Carnot school in Paris, was of a theatrical and dramatic nature, while the transparent costumes that the models wore with their various physical characteristics were dominated by transparency, including, for example, a long dress made of armor-type fabric with metal rings, and a men’s jacket made of transparent, revealing black.

The fall and winter collection of the 2024-2025 season, with its daring and unprecedented cuts, seemed designed to match the looks of Hollywood stars on red carpets, causing a great stir that reflects the house’s efforts to restore its position and revive its fame.

Actress Zendaya (27 years old), who currently enjoys wide fame, appeared last month in London at the premiere of her film “Don: Part 2” in a dress with a silver neckline inspired by the world of robots.

The big stars were absent from this show, despite rumors until the last minute regarding the possibility of American Kim Kardashian participating. In his previous show, Cadwalader made sure to invite both Paris Hilton, heiress to the Hilton Hotel empire, and American actress Angela Bassett, to the stage.

Casey Cadwalader joined the Mugler house in 2018, and two years ago assumed the position of design director at the Parisian house, following the death of the brand’s founder, Thierry Mugler.
