A tendency to link the fees of private schools with the approval of the Ministry… and to reveal the penalties for violating schools

Al-Marsad newspaper: Sources said that the Ministry of Education is currently working on a comprehensive organization of private schools. The new amendments are expected to be approved before the start of the new academic year.

According to the “city”, the ministry sets standards and controls for tuition fees, and tuition fees are not imposed or modified except following the ministry’s approval.

The amendments also stipulate that one or more penalties, depending on the severity of the violation, shall be applied to private schools and foreign schools that violate any provision of the system and its regulations.

The penalties range from a warning and suspension of students’ registration in the school, a fine of no less than five thousand riyals and not more than five hundred thousand riyals, and cancellation of the license.

The amendments indicated that a private school may not stop operating temporarily or permanently without obtaining written approval from the Ministry.
