Season 2 of Battlefield 2042 is available since the end of Augustand a temporary event called The Liquidators, will take place from October 11 to 25 to liven up the game a bit. As you can see on the trailer belowThe Liquidators will focus on offering close-range encounters on reduced-size maps (see the changelog page for some examples) in a variant of conquest mode. Here, only infantry, and it will be necessary to capture/keep 3 points. The first week will offer fights in 8vs8, the second week of 16vs16.
