A 16-year-old boy was stabbed several times Wednesday night near a carnival in Le Mans. Three people were taken into custody, the prosecution announced on Thursday March 24. According to the public prosecutor of Le Mans, Delphine Dewailly, the police intervened early Wednesday evening near the funfair located in the Panorama activity area, “following being alerted that a young man had been stabbed several times”.
“This young man, aged 16, died at the scene, despite the care provided by the firefighters quickly on the spot”added the magistrate. “Three people likely to be involved in the scene were immediately arrested and placed in police custody”she added without further details.
According to the magistrate, “a judicial investigation of the murder charge is open” and was jointly entrusted to the Territorial Directorate of the Angers Judicial Police and the Le Mans police station. The victim’s autopsy will be performed on Thursday.
