A new shark attack was registered this Monday on Piedade beach, in northeastern Brazil, communicates the OL portal.

The shark bit the victim, a girl under 15 years of age, on the left arm in a place where, according to the media, bathing is not prohibited, although it is recommended not to do so.

According to the authorities, quoted by UOL, the teenager underwent surgery to treat the injuries caused by the amputation of her arm. It is reported that the adolescent is stable and conscious.

The incident is added to two others cases registered in just 48 hours apart on the same beach, the first of which took place on February 20. One of those affected, a 15-year-old teenager, had to have a leg amputated, while another 14-year-old minor underwent surgery to “repair the injuries caused by the amputation” of the left arm.
