The communication sites were buzzing with a post posted by a public driver on his Facebook page, in which he indicated that the artist, Mohamed Al-Dirani, had failed to pay the agreed-upon sum of 3 million pounds for Dirani’s transportation from Sidon to Jounieh, with the driver staying with him for a number of hours.
The driver, Muhammad Tabbara, indicated that he drove Al-Dirani to the (Golden) Hotel next to the Antelias Bridge, and waited for him for two hours at the entrance of the hotel to give him the amount, and he contacted the hotel guards and management, and they said, he is in the room and did not respond to us, and you have to file a complaint and this is not the first time he has done so. with this act.
After the publication, the management of the Pavillon Hotel excluded al-Dirani from the New Year’s party, and a number of “victims of al-Dirani” contacted a journalist who shared Tabbara’s publication, who in turn placed what he had in the custody of the security forces.
Later, one of those close to Dirani tried to reach a solution with the driver to pay the amount in exchange for deleting all the posts regarding the artist, but he did not respond first. After that, Al-Dirani posted a video clip with a direct threat to the driver, so the driver posted it.
However, today, Tabbara removed all publications related to Al-Dirani, and the information indicated that he did so following accepting a settlement in which he would obtain his money from a close associate of Al-Dirani, in exchange for his removal of all publications regarding the incident, including the threatening videos.
Yesterday, Tabbara indicated that Al-Dirani’s companion contacted him and told him, “Because of you, my family prevented me from talking to him.” She justified Al-Dirani’s act by saying that he did not have money and was ashamed of revealing that, pointing out that she would contact a relative of Al-Dirani to pay the amount.
