A talk on art collecting will be held – Santa Cruz

As part of the “Collection Art” exhibition, next Saturday 24th in the Banco Santa Cruz Foundation Hall of the Cultural Center there will be a talk by Toaia Ibañez, director and curator of Laguanacazul de El Calafate.

The State Secretariat for Culture, which is part of the Ministry of Government, is offering a talk open to the public to promote collecting and the private acquisition of works of art. To this end, the director of the Laguanacazul gallery in El Calafate will offer a talk on Saturday, August 24, starting at 5:00 p.m., open to the community, together with the collector Pablo Beecher.

In this regard, Ibañez, who is a collector, director and curator of this art gallery, announced that she will make a brief historical overview of collecting and the importance of creating art collections through companies, institutions or other organizations.

“Heritage collections are historical records of the art and work of contemporary artists from a region or community,” Ibañez stressed, noting that the intention of the talk is to present the reasons for collecting or buying works in order to stimulate this activity in our province.
