In Reims, a swastika was tagged with an orange spray, on the night of Friday April 15 to Saturday April 16, on the facade of an evangelical church, accompanied by the inscription “Hitler”, indicates France Blue Champagne-Ardenne. The damage was noted on Saturday by the pastor, Philippe Rosa, who announced that he was going to file a complaint on Tuesday.

“There were no other damages in the neighborhood, so it seems that we were targeted”, Philippe Rosa told France Bleu Champagne-Ardenne. Nevertheless, he “take care not to interpret the meaning of these tags”. For their part, the authorities were notified, and the town hall had the inscriptions erased on Saturday followingnoon, following finding the police.

Another inscription was spray-painted on the wall of the church: “BR 86 LIFE”, whose meaning is not yet known. During this Easter period, the prefecture had “warned” local religious leaders once morest “possible incivility and actions once morest churches” : “Bad luck, it fell on us”deplores Pastor Philippe Rosa.
