A student from UNamur falls to her death at the Citadel of Namur

A first-year law student at UNamur died Wednesday evening at the Citadel of Namur. She fell several meters while reunited with some friends.

According to the first elements of the investigation, this fall is accidental, said the prosecution, adding that several trustworthy testimonies have been collected.

UNamur learned the terrible news on Thursday and classes at the Faculty of Law were suspended in the afternoon. “The Dean of the Faculty wished to meet the students and a moment of meditation was organized in Louise-Marie Park“, says Rector Annick Castiaux. “We will also set up psychological support. The whole institution is turned upside down“, she commented.
