Last Friday, customers of the Aldi store in Trans-en-Provence, France, experienced a very special moment, reports Var Matin. Two customers have indeed confided to the French daily that a “generous stranger” had paid for their purchases, without them asking her for anything.
On their way to the checkouts of the store that day following having done their shopping, Magali and Yann notice that a lady “probably regarding forty years old, wearing big sunglasses” is walking around the checkouts and s address a person in front of them in line. But the two customers don’t really understand what’s going on until it’s their turn to pay for their purchases. “When putting away the last items, the lady approaches us and asks us if we don’t mind if she pays for our shopping,” Magali told Var Matin.
Stunned, the young woman wants to refuse, but the mysterious stranger takes out her card directly and pays the 123 euros of shopping by throwing to the couple: “You will have fun in another way!”. “We stayed stupid […] We had never seen that”. And the generous stranger once more offered the shopping for the next customer, who came out of the supermarket in tears.
Having “earned a certain amount of money”, the stranger in sunglasses wanted “to please people around her”. It succeeded!
