Could an episode of ‘X-Files’ be filmed at Lucerne station? Nay! But what is this strange mixture that “escaped” from the sewers on Thursday evening? Impossible to say more for the moment, explains the police of the City.
Be that as it may, it makes people talk in the cottages, especially since passers-by and other rescuers were left speechless. “A puddle of water formed above the manhole cover,” said a witness, who said it was a kind of “potato-like foam.” “It smokes, it stinks and it’s not identifiable,” he adds.
Around 6:40 p.m., the police cordoned off a large part of the street. As for concerns about the potential dangerousness of the substance, they are reassuring. “It’s nothing serious,” said a policeman. The mystery remains intact, even if the authorities promise to give more details Friday morning.
