On the evening of February 13, many people around Ba Den Mountain’s historical, cultural, scenic and tourist site took pictures of a glowing cloud covering the top of Ba Den mountain. Immediately, images of this strange cloud area were shared and spread widely on social networks.
Many experts interpret the clouds that make the whole sky glow without any energy source as the phenomenon of light refraction. Noctilucent clouds are formed so high that they can continue to reflect light following the sun has sunk into the horizon.
This type of cloud is thought to be composed of ice crystals in the mesosphere, ranging in altitude from 75 km to 85 km. About 99.99% of the atmosphere lies below this layer. They form when water vapor condenses around microscopic dust particles suspended in the mesosphere and freezes, forming ice crystals, which can reflect light.

Noctilucent clouds are only rarely observed with the naked eye near the poles (Antarctica), sometimes also appear at lower latitudes such as the US, Canada, UK and Denmark…
This leads many people to believe that the cloud-like area on top of Nui Ba is a good cloud that illuminates the sun and brings many blessings.
This is not the first time that Ba Den Mountain has strange phenomena. At the end of November 2022, Tay Ninh people also had the opportunity to admire a cloud forming a cone like a flying saucer covering the top of Ba Den mountain. On New Year’s Eve, the top of the mountain also appears a magical fire phoenix-shaped cloud.
Less than a month later, at the end of January 2023, the fire rainbow once once more appeared on the top of the mountain, making this place even more attractive by interesting natural phenomena.
