Users on social networking pages circulated pictures of an animal that they described as strange, which sparked the interaction of many pioneers of those networks, who confirmed that it caused panic among citizens in Ismailia Governorate.
A source in Ismailia governorate revealed the details of the incident, stressing that the pictures taken of the “strange being” and widely circulated on social media pages were in the village of Abu Omar, affiliated to the Abu Sweir Center in Ismailia Governorate.
The source explained that by examining the pictures that were circulated, it was found that the animal was just a “dog”, but it was infected with “scabies”, pointing out that it is in an advanced state of the disease and is not a strange creature as described by users on social networks that transmitted the pictures.
The source warned against approaching this animal and touching its skin, pointing out that the disease that it suffers from and caused its appearance in this terrifying way for some, is a disease that is transmitted to humans and infects them with infection.
In the context, the source confirmed that urgent instructions were given to the Abu Sweir Veterinary Administration to quickly intervene to examine and treat this sick dog, while working to isolate it away from citizens and children in order to preserve them and avoid transmission of infection.
