A spectacular collision occurred Thursday between two trucks, on the Transjurane. Around 1:30 p.m., between Porrentruy and Courgenay, a driver who was traveling on a straight section in the direction of Delémont deviated from his trajectory. His truck hit a broken down truck, immobilized on the hard shoulder.
“Under the effect of the shock, the offending vehicle overturned and ended up on its side, regarding fifty meters further”, specifies the Jura police. Shocked, the driver was picked up by an ambulance and taken to Delémont hospital.
The driver of the second truck was outside his vehicle. He was not injured.
The A16 motorway was closed for two hours. Significant resources have been committed, in particular the Porrentruy fire and rescue reinforcement center and the Roads and Bridges department. The cantonal police and the municipal police of Porrentruy went on the spot for the needs of the report.
