The Center for the Development of Documentary and Experimental Cinema announced the launch of the International Projects Support Fund, with the aim of producing films for a global audience and developing documentary cinema and its presence in global markets.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Center for the Development of Documentary, Experimental and Animation Cinema, entering international markets, interest in expanding the audience for documentary cinema, and supporting new experiences and filmmaking in creative ways, “are among the programs of the Iranian Center.”
The Center’s International Projects Support Fund was launched in connection with this vision and to focus on common global issues on the registration side. During this year and in the first period of granting this financial support, the Iranian Center for Documentary Cinema, in addition to various and general issues, specifically supported projects in the initial cutting stage (initial editing) or post-production stage under the slogan “Gaza” and “ Palestine”.
Each year, in addition to providing financial support to global and common humanitarian causes, this fund will also have a special edition.
Projects applied for financial support will be reviewed at the Iranian International Documentary Film Promotion Ceremony under the title “Cinema of Truth” Festival, and the results will be announced during this event. The “Pitching” section, or seminars, will be held separately from the activities of the “Cinema Verité” festival, which was part of the festival’s previous editions.
International filmmakers can apply for this financial support by submitting an idea and project for the film they wish to make.
