The last song, It will pass, by German-Turkish artist Tarkan has found a resounding echo in Turkey, especially among opponents of President Erdogan.
late (literally “It will pass”), this song, whose clip has been viewed more than 19 million times on YouTube in five days, making it one of the most watched videos in the world, never ceases to agitate Turkey.
Although the clip refers rather to the Covid-19 period, the lyrics of the song: “It will pass / It will go away as it happened / It lasted too long, we can’t take it anymore / That’s enough let go of the collar” are above all interpreted as an anti-government charge and unleash passions, especially on social networks.
