In the heart of Plainpalais, at 5 rue Marguerite-Dellenbach, the native offers original cocktails and Rioplatense specialties in an atmosphere cozy. On the occasion of its two years of existence, we spoke with Laura Febo, co-founder of the bar, regarding the origin of the project.
After studying at the University of St. Gallen, Laura did not see herself following the path laid out for her. It was while returning from a long trip to South America that her path began to take shape. First with the creation of Alau, her brand of fashion accessories produced in Colombia in an artisanal and ethical way. Then the concept expanded to become a bar. Ideas gradually grafted on to each other, La Nativa has become a café-bar-shop-gallery as well as an event and meeting space.

In a chic-bohemian Latin atmosphere, the café-bar offers maté, empanadas and caramel cookies, but also a good selection of wines and beers, as well as original cocktails prepared by helpful and attentive bartenders and bartenders. Decorated with taste and elegance, La Nativa is characterized by its warm welcome, inspired by the human contact found in Latin America.

Theme nights
La Nativa organizes parties on the basis of three poles of activity. On the one hand, events focused on spirituality, well-being and the esoteric world. On the first Tuesday and third Wednesday of the month, on the occasion of the “noche mágica”, which has become the most emblematic evening of La Nativa, therapists, astrologers, people who practice tarot, energy treatments and other treatments offer individual sessions of twenty minutes at twenty francs. For clients who would not necessarily be tempted to consult this type of practitioner, this is an opportunity to discover care at a very affordable price and in a reassuring place.
On the other hand, La Nativa offers meeting evenings dedicated to entrepreneurship. These networking meetings allow participants to exchange ideas, share projects, work together and inspire each other.
The third area of activity relates to fashion and empty dressing rooms. During these events, creators present their brands and their creations. Alongside the activities organized at La Nativa, Laura regularly participates in flea markets and designer markets. The next one will take place from September 1 to 2, at HerStreetat 6 rue des Pierres-du-Niton.
Among the other activities offered by La Nativa, there are discussion evenings to practice French, intimate concerts and “live painting” performances. Once a month, the artist Raza paints a large canvas live, usually accompanied by a player hand pan. He also does portraits of clients in thirty minutes on small canvases. In addition, his works are exhibited on the walls of the bar, giving it a gallery side as well.
La Nativa lends itself well to the organization of birthday parties and celebrations with friends and allows people from all walks of life to meet, be inspired and create in a pleasant and caring environment.
