UAE: Two bridges coming up to ease traffic congestion in Ajman city. The Ajman Municipality has announced that the construction of the bridges will be completed by October next year. Two bridges are being constructed on Al Ittihad Street in Ajman.

Etihad Street is an area of Ajman that swells with traffic to and from Dubai and Sharjah. The Etihad Street bridge will have three lanes for vehicles coming from Dubai. Under the bridge, traffic will be controlled by traffic signals at the intersection connecting Al Ittihad Street and Kuwait Street.

Another bridge will also come up for those going from Al Hassan bin Al Haitham Street out of the emirate and from Ajman Industrial Area to Sharjah. This project is in the second package of the proposal of Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman. As part of the bridge construction, there will be traffic restrictions in this area.

There are five parallel lanes from Sharjah to Sheikh Khalifa Intersection and two parallel lanes towards Al Nuaimiyah. Ajman Municipality Planning Department Director General Abdurrahman Muhammad Al Nuaimi warned that drivers should pay attention to traffic control and route changes.
