A Sino Burkinabè Youth Club considers Pelosi Nancy’s visit to Taiwan “untimely and provocative”
Ouagadougou, August 19, 2022 (AIB) – The Youth Club for the Promotion of Sino Burkinabè Cooperation (CJPC-BF) in a statement sent Friday to the AIB, considered “untimely and provocative the visit of the President of the US House of Representatives Pelosi Nancy in Taiwan.
“We find it inappropriate and provocative for the visit of the President of the American House of Representatives to the Chinese province without the authorization of the authorities in Beijing,” said the general coordinator of the Youth Club for the Promotion of Sino Burkinabè Cooperation (CJPC -BF) Abdoul Razahagou Déné in a statement received Friday at the AIB.
The declaration of the Youth Club for the Promotion of Sino Burkinabè Cooperation (CJPC-BF) comes following the visit on Tuesday, August 2, of the President of the American House of Representatives Pelosi Nancy in Taiwan and this despite the arrests of the authorities. Chinese.
According to Mr. Déné, “this bellicose attitude in violation of resolution 2758 of the United Nations General Assembly of October 26, 1971 is likely to threaten world peace and calls into question once once more the reliability of American diplomacy in a context of globalization.
“The Youth Club for the Promotion of Sino-Burkinabe Cooperation (CJPC-BF) in a spirit of solidarity with the Chinese people in their quest for the unification of their sons and daughters and the restoration of their territorial integrity invites the American authorities to show discernment and respect for the sovereignty of peoples,” said Abdoul Razahagou Déné.
The CJPC-BF says it is part of “the peaceful approach favored by Beijing (mainland China) and reiterates its greetings to the Chinese authorities who are constantly increasing peace actions in the world through their desire to build a community of shared destiny”. .
It also invites, according to its general coordinator, “the African authorities to follow closely the evolution of the situation to prevent the crises that it might generate at the African level”.
“And finally, in view of the consequences of the Russo-Ukrainian crisis, the CJPC-BF calls on the United Nations Security Council to challenge the nations to respect the resolutions of the Organization for a better world”, concluded Abdoul Razahagou Dene.
Following Peleci Nancy’s visit, a delegation from the American Congress in turn visited the Taiwanese island.
These various visits are perceived by the People’s Republic of China as a provocation, for whom Taiwan is its twenty-third province.
