A simplified interface and new effects for Arturia’s Pigments 4 synthesizer

The Arturia team from Grenoble has been busy and offers an interesting evolution for its Pigments virtual synthesizer.

Pigments 4: a new simplified interface

After offering native support for Apple Silicon Macs with version 3.5 last year, this new iteration introduces a welcome redesign of the interface emphasizing ease of use what might look like a gas plant for less seasoned users (this remains the case when you get your hands dirty). This version 4 is also an opportunity to take advantage of improvements for the synthesis engine, new effects such as the MS-20 filter, Shimmer Reverb, Super Unison, optimizations for the effects of previous versions, as well as the collection of new soundbanks Wavelenghts Lo-fi, Neuro Bass and Cinematic, covering several musical genres and uses.

The program is NKS compatible in order to take advantage of Native Instruments signed controllers. The synthesizer can work independently, or be called within a STAN (for Digital Audio Workstation, or DAW -Digital Audio Workstation- in the language of Beck) in the form of a plugin in VST, AAX format and Audio Units. Until January 4, 2023, the Synthesizer Pack and Wavelenghts Banks will exchange for 99 euros (Pigments 4 is free for those who have the previous version), the price will then increase to 199 euros.
