Del City police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the shooting in the high school gymnasium after the game between Del City and Millwood. The officers present on the spot evacuated the room after the first shots, but the shooting continued in the parking lot. One injured person was taken to hospital, but no student was injured. The suspect was arrested for attempted homicide. He wasn’t enrolled in Del City, nor was the victim.
Barely seconds after the final buzzer of the meeting between Del City and Millwood, an 18-year-old young man opened fire on another spectator, in a room nevertheless full of families… one injured, one too many, it is still quite worrying.
