A woman decided to call the police following discovering a huge safe inside a house she had bought at auction.
Tiffany Ma, 28, of Los Angeles, bought the property with her partner, but the couple got more than they bargained for when they first walked into the house, where they found a huge safe, according to ladbible.
After hiring a contractor to open the safe, Tiffany was so surprised by what was inside that she decided to call the police.
Not only did the safe have a WWII dagger and engagement rings inside, but in a video she posted on TikTok, Tiffany said she also found “a bunch of images that might certainly be used as blackmail”.
Most terrifying is the fact that the safe contains an item that Tiffany was unable to talk regarding, because the police warned her to keep quiet.
Tiffany told her followers: “We found some legacies like an engagement ring, a bunch of pictures that might definitely be used as blackmail, and tons of rare coins and old coins.”
“We found a WWII dagger that was meant for bad guys, but honestly, the craziest thing we’ve found, I’m not even allowed to tell you guys, because we have to involve the police,” she added.
Tiffany explained that she had to call a contractor to open the safe with a grinder and an axe following receiving a nerve-wracking phone call.
Tiffany and her partner, Matt, were called by an unknown person who warned them that their new home had been broken into just days before they moved in. The couple also noticed that the safe had signs that someone had already tried to open it.
A few days following they handed over the keys to the property, a young man approached Tiffany and died claiming to be the nephew of the previous owner and asked to hand over the contents of the safe.
After involving the police, the couple cleaned up the house but decided to demolish the entire property and rebuild from scratch, which, under the circumstances, seems like an excellent idea.
Tiffany and Matt eventually found out that the previous owner had died intestate, and her clip has garnered 1.7 million views so far.
