A shipment of 20 truckloads of aid will be sent to Gaza: Biden

US President Joe Biden says the first shipment of 20 truckloads of aid will be sent to southern Gaza through the Rafah crossing. He said that in the first batch of relief goods, the most essential goods will be sent, while the second batch of relief goods will be decided based on the situation.

The US President said that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has given permission to open the Rafah Crossing on humanitarian grounds.

Speaking to the media on his return from Israel, the US president said that the road around the crossing needs to be repaired, so aid trucks will probably be sent on Friday, aid supplies will be distributed under the United Nations.

He said that in the first batch of relief goods, the most essential goods will be sent, while the second batch of relief goods will be decided based on the situation. Joe Biden made it clear that if Hamas seizes the aid or it is not allowed to pass, the delivery of the aid will be stopped.

It should be remembered that the US President visited Israel one day following Israel targeted a hospital in Gaza and martyred 500 Palestinians.

It should also be remembered that the number of Palestinians who have been martyred in the Israeli bombing so far has exceeded 3,500, while more than 13,000, including women and children, have been injured.
