The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk Region recalls how to behave during a thunderstorm and hail.
– If hail caught you outside, find shelter. If this is not possible, protect your head from hailstones – cover yourself with your hands, bag, clothes. Do not try to find shelter under trees: there is a high risk of lightning strikes, as well as large hailstones and strong winds can break tree branches that fall on you, rescuers say.
