In Karachi, the main procession of Chehlum of Imam Hussain (AS) will take place from Nishtar Park, before which the main assembly will be held in Nishtar Park. The main procession will pass through traditional routes and end at Hussainiya Iraniyan Kharadar.
The passageways of Imam Hussain’s Chehlam procession in Shahr-e-Quaid have been blocked by placing containers. Police officials say that 4 thousand 422 officers and jawans are deployed in Karachi for the security of Chehlum procession.
Snipers of the Special Security Unit are stationed on the main procession routes. 850 traffic police personnel are deployed in and around the passage of the procession.
The police have appealed to the public to report any suspicious or unusual person or thing around them to 15.
Traffic plan on the occasion of Karachi, Chehlum
Karachi Traffic Police says that the procession coming from Martin Road will merge with the main procession at Nishtar Park.
Due to road closure for the procession, traffic coming from Nazimabad to MA Jinnah Road will go towards Garden from Lasbela Chowk, traffic coming from Liaquatabad to MA Jinnah Road will go towards Jail Road from Tin Hatti Chowk.
Traffic coming from Stadium Road will be allowed to go to New MA Jinnah Road, traffic coming from Super Highway will be able to go from Liaquatabad No. 10 to Nazimabad Chowrangi No. 2, traffic will be diverted to the procession route beyond Gurmandar Chowk. will not be allowed.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori has directed fool-proof arrangements for Chehlum Imam Hussain (AS) meetings across the province. He has said that full arrangements should be made for the security of the assemblies and processions, and the peaceful end of the processions should also be ensured with the support of the organizers.
Lahore: The main procession of Chehlum was brought out
On the other hand, in Lahore, the main procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) Chehlum was taken out from Haveli Alf Shah. The procession will pass through the Golden Mosque, Rang Mahal, Tarnam Chowk and Bhati Door through the Inner Cobbler Gate.
The participants of the procession will offer noon prayer at Rang Mahal Chowk in the afternoon. The procession will pass through its traditional route and end at Karbala Game Shah at sunset time.
Rawalpindi: Tight security arrangements at Chehlum
Strict security arrangements have been made in Rawalpindi on the occasion of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). More than 4,000 Rawalpindi police officers have been deployed for the security of the processions.
Commissioner Liaquat Chatta, RPO Khurram Ali, DC, CPO Rawalpindi have visited various areas to assess the security situation of the processions.

The procession will reach Behesht-e-Zainab Hazara Cemetery and end from Alamdar Road. 5,000 police, FC and Levies personnel have been deployed for the security of the processions.
Police officials say that the army will remain on standby to deal with emergency situations, there will be a ban on double riding of motorcycles within the limits of 4 police stations of Quetta.
