The Service for the Removal and Destruction of Explosive Devices (SEDEE) had to intervene this Saturday morning in Zonnebeke. While working in his field, a farmer touched a phosphorus bomb, which started to smoke.
Arriving first on the scene, the firefighters set up a security perimeter and closed the street. The SEDEE then arrived to defuse the bomb, indicates HLN.
Fortunately, everything went without a hitch.
