A second plane arrives in Mogadishu within the Crescent Bridge for the relief of Somalia

A second plane has arrived in the Somali capital Mogadishu within the air bridge operated by the Emirates Crescent, to provide relief to the brotherly Somali people affected by drought, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority.

The plane is carrying 40 tons of basic foodstuffs, dates and nutritional supplements for children. Besides the air bridge, the authority’s assistance program includes moving an aid ship to support its efforts in this regard and alleviate the suffering of the Somali brothers.

The program also includes providing water through tankers and tankers for the displaced due to drought in their current areas, as well as digging more water wells in areas and regions that suffer from severe water scarcity. A delegation from the Red Crescent Authority recently arrived in Somalia to lead the operations of the relief organization, and to supervise the delivery of aid to the affected and displaced people who left their areas in search of water and pasture. their human conditions.

Upon his arrival, the authority’s delegation began providing water to the displaced in their gathering areas through large tanks, and water was fetched from remote areas. The Red Crescent distributed more food to the affected.

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority confirmed that its programs in this regard come in support of the state’s humanitarian, relief and development initiatives for the benefit of the Somali people, and as an extension of its continuous efforts to reduce the burden of human suffering.

She said that she had prepared an ambitious program that meets the needs of those affected in the current stage, and contributes to alleviating the effects of the drought disaster.

It indicated that it is doing its best to make the required difference in humanitarian relief efforts in a number of Somali regions most affected by the current humanitarian situation.
