Local news accounts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia circulated a scene that is currently being filmed from “Tash Ma Tash”, which is scheduled to be shown in a new part next Ramadan.
And the announcement by the head of the entertainment authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, about the production of a new part of “Tash Ma Tash” after a hiatus of years in the coming Ramadan, sparked controversy, regarding the ability of the next part to add to the previous parts or not.
Followers had already questioned, with the announcement of a new upcoming part of the famous comic series, the ability of those in charge of the work to present the new and get out of the cloak of the previous parts.
A video clip of the artists Al-Sadhan and Al-Qasabi was monitored as they played their roles in their famous characters in the comedy series “Abu Hazar” and “Abu Nizar”.
The scene appears, at first glance, as if it were from one of the episodes shown in the old years. What was not accepted by many followers.
Citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the scene, which gave them the impression that “there is nothing new in the work,” accusing those in charge of trying to recycle previous ideas and old personalities.
“Abu Majid” said: “Kashtah Abu Hazar and Nizar have not yet ended. As long as there is nothing new, I wish they had not returned. No, and the poor people who filed a case against some of them now have returned a similar case with them.”
While a follower supported Al-Qasabi’s previous decision not to want to reproduce the famous series: “My brother, we are tired of the same scenario, Abu Hazar, Abonzar and Al-Kashta. How long will they repeat the same idea, and by God Almighty, the idea has become boring and trivial.
In turn, the activist Ahmed Al-Ghamdi criticized the scene: “It is clear that it is an episode on Kashta Abu Hazar and Abu Nizar, and it is an episode on Ruqaya in the houses of mud, Al-Qasabi Sudani, Al-Sadhan Hindi and Abu Musaed … a return of the old Tash and nothing new.”
And Saleh Al-Eid said: “Renewal is required in any artwork. Continuing on the same approach and characters and repeating ideas is a waste of time and is not useful. The work must come out of the old context in terms of changing personalities and topics that are presented on the screen, changing times, and new topics and ideas must be presented that coexist with reality in This work is comical.
On the other hand, followers expressed their lack of enthusiasm for the work, with the artist Fahd Al-Hayyan’s apology for participating in it, and he participated with his main character, “Hazar”.
The artist, Al Hayyan, released a video through his account on “Snapchat” a few days ago, in which he announced his withdrawal from participating in the next part of “Tash Ma Tash”, citing the reason for the lack of scenes he will play in the series.
He added that when he asked those in charge of the work to raise his share of the scenes in the next part, they agreed to that, but they did not fulfill their promise. What prompted him to apologize for participating.
