Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The car of Saudi rally driver, Yazid Al-Rajhi, was engulfed in flames during the “Baja” race in Poland, Saturday, while the Saudi racer and his driving partner left safely, according to a video on his team’s documented page.
And the Yazeed Racing World Champions page posted a tweet on Twitter, saying: “Praise be to God, God forbid and what he did. Our team’s car was involved in an ignition accident during the third section of the first stage… Praise be to God, Captain Yazid Al-Rajhi and Michael Orr exited the car in time. It was horribly devoured by the fire,” the team said.
The tweet included a video clip showing the burning of the Saudi rider’s car.
For his part, Al-Rajhi documented the moment his car burned down on his page on “Tik Tok”, according to what his team’s page on Twitter published.
