Books – Ahmed Massad:

Dr. Abbas Sharaki, a professor of geology at Cairo University and a water expert, announced that the renaissance dam’s turbine has returned to work following a hiatus of more than 100 days.

Sharaqi said, in a statement, on his Facebook page: Today’s satellite images showed the presence of light vortices in the turbine basin, and the most likely is the operation of one turbine due to the light vortices, in addition to that if the two turbines are operating efficiently, the water that is currently overflowing from the top of the middle corridor and its amount is regarding 50 million m3 / day, it will pass completely through the two turbines, due to their ability to pass from 50 – 100 million m3 / day, depending on the efficiency and number of operating hours.

Abbas Sharaki added: The weak operation of the two turbines will force Ethiopia to open one of the two discharge gates to drain the middle corridor in preparation for the preparations for the fourth storage.
