A Russian team wins first place in an international competition in Egypt

Egypt – A team from the Higher School of Economics at the Russian National Research University won first place in the ICPC World Programming Championship, which was held in Egypt in Luxor from April 14-18.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated the winning team, stressing that they won first place thanks to their talent and hard work, which led the Russians to become one of the world leaders in digital transformation, the economy and the social field.

Chernyshenko said: “I congratulate the students of the Higher School of Economics on their well-deserved victory, as well as the team of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, which reached the final stage of the ICPC Championship!”

He stressed: “I am confident that your skills will allow you to create innovative technological solutions that guarantee the country’s technological sovereignty, which is the importance that our President Vladimir Putin spoke about.”

The ICPC competition is one of the most prestigious programming championships in the world, where teams of three individuals representing their university solve technical problems in a limited period of time.

In the final of the 47th competition, teams of students from the Faculty of Computer Science at the Higher School of Economics at the National Research University showed high results and became champions in first place, and the Chinese University of Beijing took second place.

Students of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology also showed a high level and took third place in the final of the 47th session of the International Committee on Physics and Technology.
